Stake strategies in sportsbetting

Stake strategies

The three main types are primarily for the sake of sports betting strategies. About a positive progressive betting, negative progression reception and security reception. If that doesn’t say anything at first, don’t be scared. As we explain, you will find out that you really know what it is here.

During a positive progression reception, we mean that if we win, we will raise the stake. The name can be telling: positive as the winning itself and progressive because of the stakes.

During a negative progression reception, we will raise the stake if our previous bet has lost. We are confident with this strategy that the previously failed stake or part of the stake can be recovered by a higher bet.

And the security bet means that if we fail, we will take it back from the stake at the next bet. It doesn’t matter so popular, because basically everyone wants to be extra quickly, which comes from people’s character. However, sometimes it is worth retreating and looking at the events from there, meaning here the loss of a reduced stake.

Martingale strategy

The Martingale Strategy is one of the oldest betting strategies. This is a negative progression betting strategy in which we constantly raise the stake. It follows that you will need more and more invested capital, because the later you will win, the more your stake will be. The essence of the betting strategy is to double the previous stake for each loser section.

In other words, Martingale is called “double”, and you can already meet this name. This strategy is mostly recommended for more experienced players, as as you can calculate, with a starting stake of 1.000 HUF, after the seventh round, you need $ 128,000. In the event of a winning bet, you have to restart with the base, where the doubling stops. It is also worthwhile to operate with or above odds, which you need to play with the sport.

D’Alambert strategy

Stake strategies

This is a more thoughtful version of the Martingale Sports Betting Strategy, but in a much more friendly form. We recommend this to beginner players. The point is that you raise or reduce stakes depending on whether you have won or lost the last time. We do not double here, just lift or decrease smoothly. For example, this looks like you start with $ 1.000, but you didn’t win, so let’s say the next stake is $ 2.000.

Then you won’t win, so the stakes will be $ 3,000. This comes together, so the next stake is again $ 2.000. As you can see, the stakes do not grow as quickly as the Martingale strategy. At the same time, there is a risk of surge in the stakes after many losing bets. D’Alambert’s strategy is also worth playing over 2.00 odds.

Fibonacci method

Wow, something scares me, right? This could have been the case before, and you probably thought, “One more thing I will never use in life”. You may easily be wrong and the fibonacci method will eventually be a profitable betting strategy for you. The essence of this is to raise the stake with the amount of our previous two stakes in the event of a losing tip.

In practice, it looks like this: 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, and so on. These will be your stakes. Why? Because 1 + 1 = 2, 1 + 2 = 3, 3 + 5 = 13. The stakes always increase to the last sum of the two. It is also worth using odds of more than 2.00, but around 3.00. You will definitely go well with football draws, it is usually stable over 3.00, or at least it is.

Labouchere strategy

This strategy should be used in markets that have two outcomes, i.e. in the case of the classic “head or write”. Translated into a sports bet, this could be the winner of a duel or the final result of a tennis match. During the Labouchere strategy, you have to choose a sequence of numbers, let it be: 1 – 3 – 5 – 2.

Your bet will be the sum of the two outermost numbers, so 1 + 2 = 3. If you lose, you write the number at the end of the number line, which thus becomes 1 – 3 – 5 – 2 – 3. Your next bet will be 1 + 3, i.e. 4. If you win, you remove these two numbers from the line, and your new line of numbers will be 3 – 5 – 2. If you have finally run out of all the numbers, you should choose a new series of numbers.

Fixed stake betting system

A very popular and widespread betting strategy. Your bet remains the same regardless of whether you just won or lost. In this way, it cannot happen that after 4-5 bad guesses your stake is in the sky, but at the same time the profit is much less favorable in such a case. For beginners, we recommend that you choose an amount that is comfortable for you and always bet with it if you want to use this betting strategy.

Proportional betting strategy

Stake strategies

This is a safer and risk-averse way to bet on sports. Especially compared to the previously mentioned strategies. The bottom line is that your bet will always be a certain percentage of your balance. You choose that you always play 5 or maybe 10 percent of your balance, for example, and you don’t deviate from that.

The amount changes for both winning and losing bets, but its proportions will always be the same. With this betting strategy, you can avoid emptying your balance or getting too carried away with your bets. We also recommend it to beginners, as it is a simple to understand and easy to apply sports betting strategy.

Kelly strategy

With this sports betting strategy, there is no ready-made recipe for when to operate with which numbers. You change the bet based on how strong the odds are. With a small multiplier, the probability of the given event occurring is higher, so you can try with a larger amount. In the case of a large multiplier, however, you bet a smaller amount.

You will still have plenty of profit. For this, you need to know the market of the given sport, since the fact that the odds are somewhat lower does not necessarily mean a sure win. And no one likes it when the ticket goes as expected. We recommend it to advanced players, as you have to rely on your intuition and experience with this betting strategy.
